About Comp/Rec Teams

Our comp and rec team is back for 2017-18.   We are excited that Stella Holt, former GNST & Middlebury College racer and GNST Prep coach will be the lead coach.  This team is open to 8th grade and older skiers.  There is the  option to race – competitively or for fun or NOT race at all.  The teams will meet together.

Rec Team:  For those interested in improving fitness and continuing to improve skiing without a race focus.  Rec participants will have the OPTION of being trained and acting as assistant Chet Hope Youth League coaches on Wednesdays.

Dates/Times:  Tues, Wed, Thurs, 4 to 5:30 pm –practice may run later if skiing on Big Mtn or elsewhere.

Cost: $325 + $80 for van service (limited number of spots are available. First priority goes to Comp team members, additional spaces will be filled by Rec on a first come first served basis.)

Comp Team: For those interested in focusing on top fitness and competitive racing with options to attend races throughout the Intermountain Region.

Dates/Times:  Tues, Wed, Thurs, & Fri, 4 to 5:30 or 6pm.  A training plan will be provided for 6 days per week.

Cost: $500, van service is included in this fee.

Location: Location will vary based on the day and time of year. Generally, practice will be held at the Glacier Nordic Center, meeting in the Team room. However, the Big Mountain trails and other local ski areas will be used as well along with race locations. Schedules will be emailed out ahead of time so you know where the team is meeting.

TO REGISTER:  You can now REGISTER ONLINE or Print and send us the GNST Registration Form 2017-18 and tuition fee. Whichever way you register, please print and send/bring us the completed  Health History Form by the first practice (If you completed the health history for summer we do not need a new one unless there are changes we should know about).

*Team Night will be held Sunday, November 5th prior to the GNC Potluck and Auction at the Wave.  Skiers and families will meet with the coaches to get information on the events of the season and register in you haven’t already done so.
