Adult Clinics, Groups, & Lessons

Learn to ski, improve your skiing or train with other masters racers – we have groups for everyone.  Don’t see something that meets you and our friends needs – give us a call and we can create a custom group.

Learn to Classic Ski – BEGINNER Program

Details:

These sessions are structured to progressively build fundamental ski skills from the first gathering through the fourth, providing lots of great tips to get you on the right track when out on your own this winter. *Minimum 5 skiers needed to run clinic.

Cost:  $99 (*Minimum 5 skiers needed to run program)

Learn to Skate Ski – BEGINNER Program

Multiple, progressive lessons will give you a chance to become comfortable on your skis, develop correct technique and be efficient from the start, enhancing your fun! *Minimum 5 skiers needed to run program.

Masters Sunday Clinics: Skate – ADVANCED BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE

Details

Three Sunday clinics. Improve your skate skiing efficiency by learning to use the correct technique for the terrain you’re skiing on! Learn and improve Diagonal Skate & V1,  V2 and V2 alternate; and how to ski down hills and around corners.

These clinics will be suitable for advanced beginner through intermediate skiers. If you are a first timer or have limited skate skiing experience, take the Learn to Skate Ski – BEGINNER Program (scroll up).

You can sign up for all three clinics or just pick the ones you want the most work on. *Minimum 5 skiers needed to run clinic.

When:

Dates: January 7, 2024 (V1) ; January 28, 2024 (V2 & V2 alternate); February 4, 2024 (transitions, hills and cornering) from 3 to 4:30pm

Where:  Glacier Nordic Center at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course

Cost:

$90 for the 3-clinic series
or
$35 per individual clinic

Masters Nordic Training Group: ADVANCED BEGINNER TO EXPERT

Details:

December 12, 2023 through March 19, 2024 – Purchase one month at a time or join us for the winter! Looking for consistency and a group to ski with? Coached sessions with technique drills and a workout. Great for those who have learned some basics, and want to progress their technique. Technique & drills for 60 minutes, 30 minute workout. Once a week on Tuesdays at 4pm. Coach will notify prior if the workout is classic or skate. Parents – join us while your athlete is at practice!

15% Discount on Masters Sunday Skate Clinics and Glacier Mountain Athlete Clinics.

When:

Dec 12, 2023 – Mar 19, 2024 – Once a week on Tuesdays at 4pm. Coach will notify prior if the workout is classic or skate.

Cost:

1 day/week – $375 upfront for all 4 months or $99 per individual month

Glacier Mountain Athlete – INTERMEDIATE to EXPERT

December 2023 through March 2024 (*Sign up for one clinic, or all 5 ski clinics). The Glacier Mountain Athlete (GMA) is a group for endurance athletes who want to cross-train with like minded individuals. Technique clinics, group workouts, race strategies, and guest speakers. Combination of technique and a workout.

Cost:

$35 per On-Snow Clinic – $10 for GNC Coach Staff. Please sign-up with code.

$10 per Wax Clinic (*FREE for GNST Coaches)

On-Snow Clinics – Wednesdays at 12pm-1:45pm:

12/13 – Skate – Wednesday from 12pm-1:45pm. Mechanics of skate skiing, review of v1/v2/v2a techniques, with individual technique analysis. The Glacier Mountain Athlete (GMA) is a group for endurance athletes who want to cross-train with like minded individuals. Combination of technique and a workout. Coach: Jennie Bender

1/10 – Classic – Wednesday from 12pm-1:45pm. Mechanics of Classic skiing, double pole, DP kick and striding review with individual technique analysis. The Glacier Mountain Athlete (GMA) is a group for endurance athletes who want to cross-train with like minded individuals. Coach: Jennie Bender

CANCELED – 1/24 – Skate – Wednesday from 12pm-1:45pm. V1 all day, every day. Left side, right side, and all hilly terrain. 2/7 – Classic – Wednesday from 12pm-1:45pm. Transitions, changing tracks, and striding hills. Wax Clinics – Open to all – Two options available:

Group Lessons

Details:

First-timer/Beginner Level group lessons, based out of the Glacier Nordic Shop. Great for those who would like to learn with others. Please call our Shop at least 24 hours in advance to book lessons – 406.862.9498

When:

Throughout the season – Tuesdays and Saturdays: Skate at 11am, Classic at 12:30pm

Where:

Glacier Nordic Center at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course

Cost:

$40/person for a one hour lesson only + $20 Day Pass + Rentals if needed

Led By:

Various instructors, all of whom are PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) Certified!

Private Lessons

Details:

We offer Private lessons, classic or skate, based out of the Glacier Nordic Shop, for those who want some personalized coaching. Please call our Shop at least 48 hours in advance to book private lessons – 406.862.9498

When:

Throughout the season. We are open seven days a week.

Where:

Glacier Nordic Center at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course

Cost:

$60/hour for private lesson; $35 per additional person + $20 Day Pass + Rentals if needed
